I always attempt to adhere to the scientific method as much as possible in my explorations, and while I often speak of these experiences as if I knew they were Truth, I always consider the alternative, that it is merely self-deception on my part, and think accordingly. Thus I maintain two parallel world views at once, one aspirational and one a safe fallback into standard materialism.

The more I journey into salviaspace, the more I think the former worldview is the correct one, but there is no objective way to prove that to the world, so I'll let you, the reader, decide for yourselves.

Salvia Tricks and Useful Meditations (Part 2)
PART 2 (OF 4)

The next series of meditations all pertain to developing an image of your body as energy, and manipulating your consciousness so that it can move to and center on different parts of your body.

“Phantom Sight”
Sit upright, calm yourself and relax. Hold up one hand in front of you. Close your eyes. Feel your hand. Concentrate on the sensation of your hand in front of you. Move your fingers about a bit. See the hand in your mind moving. See the arm-and-hand-shaped energy-shadow where your actual arm and hand is. Concentrate on seeing the shadow of the hand in your imagination as you move your fingers. (This can get eerie after a while, as you seem to actually see your hand clearly as a shadow)
Now move your hand off to the side, and turn your head in the opposite direction, eyes still closed. Place your hand so that if your eyes were open, it would be completely out of your field of view. However, keep your eyes closed.
See the hand. Move it. See it move. See the dark shadow of energy that is your hand and arm. See it where it is, placed outside of your field of view. See it with your mind, but in place where it actually is.
Practice seeing your hand with your eyes closed and your head turned away until it is automatic. Move the hand ever further away from your field of view until it is behind your head and you can still see your fingers move. Try holding up random numbers of fingers and seeing them. Continue until you are comfortable clearly seeing the hand as an energy-shadow.
Now touch one finger of the hand to your head, toward the back of the head. See the glowing spot on your scalp where the finger is touching. See it from inside of your head, as if the head were hollow and you were inside looking at the contact point. Move it about… see the glowing dot move with your finger.
Now touch the very back of your head, above your occipital region but behind and beneath the crown. See the glowing dot of the finger touching your scalp from inside your head, precisely behind you.
>Extra Credit (Difficult)
“The View from the Back of Your Head”
Now imagine another eye positioned at that point where your finger was just touching. A third eye positioned precisely behind you, looking backwards.
Spend some time imagining actually seeing out of this eye, seeing behind your head to the rear.

“Full-Body Visualization”
Sit comfortably in an upright position. Preferably on a bed or floor with legs crossed. If you can do it, a half-lotus, full-lotus, or seiza position would be appropriate.
Close your eyes, calm yourself, relax.
Visualize your entire body. Start at the feet and legs and work upwards, paying attention to all details of sensation. Pay special attention to your skin, as it is the border between you and your environment, and it is the perimeter that encloses your consciousness. Then see your whole body at once, as a dark shadow of energy. (I see it as a ghost-like body of sparkling blackness, a body-shaped energy cloud)
See your body with legs crossed (or whatever) floating in space. See the black shadow of your body as a volume of dark space which you have control over and command of. Visualize different parts of your body. Attempt to relocate your center of consciousness from your head to different parts of your body. Take a tour of the interior of your body-shaped space. Feel it, and see it. Ideally, eventually you will be able to visualize your entire body at once floating in space, with no particular center of consciousness. The whole body is your consciousness. You see all of it once, with equal focus.

“Crown to Base”
Create a flow of energy in your body
Stand with hands at side, or sit upright in a relaxed position. Relax and still your thoughts. Concentrate on the crown of your head. Feel every square millimeter of it. Attempt to visualize it from within your head, as if looking out through the crown.
Now concentrate on your feet. If sitting perhaps better to concentrate on the base of your spine.
See the crown of your head as a ball of energy. The energy is coming from the physical sensations of kinesthesia as you sense the skin on your head.
See your feet (or the base of your spine) as another ball of energy. Or perhaps easier, just concentrate on the physical sensations coming from the skin at the top of your head, and the skin at the lowest point of your body. Sense one, and then the other, alternating. Get familiar with the physical sensations of both.
Now feel them both at the same time, like two poles of a magnet, with a current between the two. Feel both at the same time for several minutes. Feel the current.
By concentrating on the sensations emanating from both the crown of your head and your feet (or base of spine) at the same time you can, with concentration, establish a flow of energy between the two poles of your body.
Concentrate on making this energy flow more and more powerfully, either from crown to base, or from base to crown.
Visualize the current of energy as a glowing conduit between the two ‘poles’ of your body.

“Traveling Focus”
Move your awareness throughout your body
Sit in a relaxed position; calm your thoughts.
Concentrate on the skin on the back of one hand. A patch of skin approximately the size of your palm. Meditate on it for a time until you sense it keenly. Now slowly, move that palm-sized ‘patch’ of focus up your arm. It is most important here to not lose focus on the patch of skin, even though it is not the same skin. The patch of focus is what is important. Continue to move the palm-sized patch of focus up your arm, and then proceed again across your back to the other arm and down to the back of the other hand, never losing the focus. Clasp hands and move it across from one hand to the other. Proceed again up your arm. This time when you get to your back, proceed downwards at a diagonal to the opposite side of your body under the opposite arm. Then move across your chest, to the other side of your body. Continue to spiral downwards toward your feet. When you get to your feet, continue to spiral around your body, moving the point of focus upwards this time. Continue to practice this, moving that palm-sized patch of focus in spirals around your body, faster and faster. It is amazing how fast this can get. Eventually it feels like *you* are traveling in spirals around your body, as if your entire consciousness is moving in spirals around your body.
